We are so grateful to all those who have sent cards, flowers, well wishes, meals, goodies, and more. We are grateful for those who have watched our kids and cleaned our house. A funny story about the house cleaning thing: the day or so after we found out, we decided to get out of the house and go for a drive. Chad's mom and sister graciously offered to clean our house while we were gone. As we were leaving, my 9 year old's parting words to them were "Make it shine!" We got a good laugh about that.
After we discovered this cancer, Eden was over at a cousin's house playing. She turned her ankle a bit and reported to me that her cousin had put lotion on her ankle and rubbed it. She said, "After she rubbed it, it felt better." She then concluded "I guess love is the best medicine." That has become sort of a theme in our home now...Love Is The Best Medicine. I can attest to that--we have felt so loved and so taken care of by family members, friends, health care workers, and even strangers. THANK YOU for your love, kindness, and concern. We have definitely felt the healing power of our Heavenly Father's and Jesus' love through this process.
